The calling of God’s people out of Egyptian slavery underpins the subsequent narrative and message of the Bible. Within this remarkable account, we will traverse the many themes, connections, and mysteries contained, and look to bring new texture to this story of salvation and to the reality of our own.

We journey back 3,500 years ago seeking answers to many questions thrown up in the extraordinary account of the Exodus – Why did God require Moses to take his shoes off on holy ground? Why did Pharaoh choose to punish the Israelites with the task of making bricks without straw? And did Pharaoh indeed have free choice when his heart was hardened?

The intentionality in the detail of these events will be the focus of this series. We’ll piece together the larger intended story, marvel at the way it has been preserved, and seek a deeper understanding of God’s character and wondrous plan.

Family Bible Reading Groups

Each morning after breakfast we connect for Bible readings in extended family groups. The theme-based Bible readings are supported by a range of fun activities – piecing together word puzzles, creating a 3D scene out of newspaper, playing Bible Battleship and many more.

Evenings at Anglesea

Variety at its finest!  Each evening at Anglesea offers a different activity and there is something for everyone – some evenings are about praise and worship, others are thought provoking, all are variously entertaining, some are hilarious and some simply peculiar.
